Newquay Wedding Photographer | Seeing Things with Fresh Eyes
“To fly as fast as thought, to anywhere that is” he said, “you must begin by knowing that you have already arrived…”. Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Richard Bach
Back home to Newquay again.
I’ve just had the loveliest of weekends in London photographing an awesome wedding at Hackney Town Hall and then on to the London Fields Brewery for the lovely Hannah and Chris. I was literally blown away by their day and London truly inspired me.
Living away from the city now, I feel like I see it with new eyes every time I visit. This time I felt so different being in town again. It was a Pisces full moon on Friday, which holds the key to letting go and moving forward. Gaining closure on things that have been. I really felt this energy as I moved my way through London. Soaking up familiar spaces and exploring new parts. I feel like I have my eyes wide open when I visit the city. I wish I had done more of that when I lived there for the 8 years that I did. I speak to strangers more and hear amazing stories. I always remember my please and thank you’s and try not to let the frantic chaos make me revert back to my London ways. Instead I grab a coffee and walk slower (much to the annoyance of some I am sure!).
Before Saturdays wedding I walked and took in the surroundings with fresh eyes. Instead of jumping in a cab and getting from A to B quicker, I woke up earlier and walked. By the time I arrived with Hannah for her prep I was buzzing and felt so inspired.
Now I am back in Cornwall, feeling a little bit more in love with London again. I followed my dreams moving to Cornwall, I wanted to live here since I was 16 years old. A long time ago! I love living by the sea and working as a Newquay Wedding Photographer is pure bliss…it means I am lucky to be able to travel and see new places and come back to the sea to revive and refresh.
Now to a week of editing and delivering some lovely weddings, beach walks with Hugo and lots of coffee.
