If someone had said to me 10 years ago “Debs one day you will live in, and absolutely love, London” I would have laughed really hard with a resounding ‘no way!’ In fact, Caroline and I had the conversation many times over. A small town girl at heart I have always lived in the country or by the sea. But that did change and within the last 10 years I found myself living in, and loving London. I loved the craziness of the city, one that is it always on the go but at certain times of night and in certain parts of town, it is very much a sleepy country town.
But it was the people I met during my time in town that made it home, two of whom are this gorgeous pair, Linda and Jason.
I met Linda when she moved into the shared house I lived in, in Wandsworth. A huge bundle of fun our lives soon became entwined and I have had many an enjoyable evening out with her. Jason and Linda’s paths soon crossed and it was clearly a perfect match.
Two graphic designers Linda and J lead an awesome, creative life in London. They set about creating the most personal day in a totally hands on way. From Linda working with Tobi Hannah to custom design her dress to her custom designed Shoes of Prey shoes and creating their own flowers, favours, table games and the amazing stationery. Special touches throughout the day gave a nod to their heritages and shared loves such as Tim Tam favours and a shared love for snowboarding, and a tear jerking moment for all during the ceremony where family from Australia had been able to watch their marriage through a live webcast. Perfection!
They also embraced all London has to offer and created a perfect city wedding. A ceremony at the very amazing (and totally undiscovered) Wandsworth Town Hall, a walk along the river in Putney, a photo stop in a fish and chip shop and an evening reception at a fabulous London pub, The Brook Green Hotel.
Being a part of your wedding was the most incredible experience Linda and J and I cannot wait to share more adventures with you both…. hope the house renno’s are going well you two!
Since getting hitched, Linda has been working with Tobi Hannah on an exciting project, just launched. The Short Wedding Dress book is a collection of all things amazing short wedding dresses! Be sure to check it out here!
