Of all the wonderful people I am lucky enough to meet through my work, Caroline and Darren I have known by far the longest! Caroline for well over 15 years! We have partied together, gone to countless festivals together, holidayed together. Caroline inspired me to take my year out to Australia, she has mopped up many tears and been a truly amazing friend for so many years.
I was there the day Caroline met Darren, and the time that they got together. I watched their relationship grow through every stage and so it was such an honour to be asked by them to there to witness their marriage at Wakehurst Place in one of the greatest capacities… through my camera. The little magic box that gave me total, un-restricted access to the whole of their day.
It is hard to find the right words but Darren and Caroline are amazing. The way they just ‘get’ one another, how they make each other laugh. The support they have for each other that knows no bounds. They are truly a perfect match.
Caroline and Darren designed and planned their day froms scratch, with amazing family and friends who chipped in along the way. From Caroline’s Mum who stitched more bunting that I could imagine, sewed felt hearts and created the bouquets and flowers, to Darren who’s a crazy talented designer and designed the amazing and amazing original stationary. Check out their table names, on ale bottles (a shared passion!) really were a work of art! Their wedding was a labour of love, months in the making and was absolutely amazing to watch grow from ideas and come together to be a perfect day.
We partied late into the night to good old dancing music supplied by The Mixtape and it felt like being back at a festival with a group of friends.
In posh frocks and suits.
With glow sticks.
I love you two!
