Anna & Tom

I have been so excited to share the gorgeous wedding of Anna and Tom and at last, here it is! Planning their wedding from Canada, Anna and Tom chose to get married at the uber fabulous Preston Court. Their day was filled with amazing moments, including a first look in the pouring rain… I do love a couple who are up for grabbing some brollies and getting out there and Anna and Tom were bloomin’ ace!

Preston Court is a pretty amazing place. Filled with carousels, old fairground memorabilia , a showman’s wagon, peacocks, a beautiful 17th century barn and and two of the most ornate organs you have ever seen… it is a feast for the eyes. All helped to make even more amazing but the fabulous Tiffany of Grant Riley Weddings who did an absolutely amazing job and helping Anna and Tom create their perfect day. From all the little hand crafted details to the logistics and planning, Tiff is a total star!

Anna and Tom perfectly complimented their day with beautiful touches and best of all, they allowed plenty of time for one another to go off and have a cuddle, and get some lovely photos which meant we were able to wander around the site and take heaps of it in. Family all got stuck in, rode the carousel in the rain and enjoyed moments where the sun shone through for this gorgeous couple. The fire was on in the bar barn, keeping guests warm over the reception and later in the afternoon everyone got cosy and the main barn for dinner, which was utterly breath taking. Funny speeches, crazy dancing and amazing food. Friends and hugs and kisses… a perfect day and such an honour to be there with you Anna and Tom xx

Huge thanks to the lovely Carly Bevan, for her help on the day, you are a superstar love!

Cat & James

Last Sunday I headed off to spend a few hours playing in my favourite place in the world, St Ives in Cornwall. They say the light in St Ives is like nothing anywhere else in the UK and whilst some think this could be a bit of an overstatement, I’ve always felt it to be true. I even did a whole final assesment piece on St Ives when I was studying art at college.

To me, even on a cloudy, windy day, St Ives sparkles.

It was here that I met up with the lovely James and Cat, who’s wedding I will be photographing later this year. We had such a great few hours together, being blown gales at on Porthminster beach, wandering along the harbour and finishing at Porthmeor Beach and indulging in Lemon Meringue and tea at the Porthmeor Cafe.

Blissful!

Dasha - Oh my, so beautiful, Debs! Love the tenderness of the images)) And I need to visit that place!!!

amy - I 100% agree with you on the light, I’ve never known anywhere like it. I really want to visit Pont Aven to compare and see if it has the sme qualities.

Love these photos!

Sara & Andy

Sunshine. Last May when these two gorgeous people were wed, sunshine was the order of the day. Along with a beautiful attention to detail, a fun group of family and friends and a truly gorgeous couple.

I met Sara and Andy around 18 months before their wedding and after a couple hours chatting and getting to know them, I knew I would be devastated if I did not get to photograph the story of their day! So when the message came through that they had chosen me, I was thrilled! We loved so much of the same things and they fully embraced my ideas, including an idea to do their pre wedding shoot in the New Forest, a place I love so much and have so many ideas for, which we did in the Autumn… a stark contrast to their spring time wedding.

The day started with Sara getting ready at the pretty awesome Hotel du Vin, just down the road from the Guildhall in Poole where their ceremony was to take place. Perfect walking distance for our bride to wander up the hill to say ‘I do’ to her boy. He on the other hand got ready at their pretty ace flat and caught a red London bus to the Guildhall, to say ‘I do’ to his girl.

Their ceremony was gorgeous and lovely readings that left everyone wiping away an escaping tear. After that it was a whirwind confetti shot (literally) and then all on board the bus back to the hotel for the reception.

Sara and Andy have impeccable taste and to say that their attention to detail was amazing is an understatement. Graphic designer Andy did a brilliant job at all their stationery and Sara, who’s love of all things weddings and her inspiring vision created a wedding that was utterly sublime. Succulent flowers for centrepieces (my favourite!) and personal references throughout… including custom cocktails which went down a treat on such a hot day! Sara is actually a blogger herself and her fabulous wedding blog Wedding Sparrow is about to be relaunched in May so keep your eyes peeled!

The legends that are the Indie Killers got the party going and it was one that went on late into the night. If ever you want a band to to get in and amongst it and your guests going… Indie Killers are your band!

Sara and Andy, shooting your wedding was an utter pleasure and I am so grateful for the friendship we have formed. I cannot wait to hopefully work with you on some projects this year and now I am living that little closer, we are going to have to meet up heaps!

And it is with massive thanks to Lisa, who’s unfaltering energy and enthusiasm knows no bounds.x
