Alex & Amber

I still have a few weddings from last year to share, and on this snowy day (I am in Melbourne at the moment but I hear its pretty chilly in the UK?!) so I thought I would transport you all to sunny Mexico. Well, actually, Maunsel House in Somerset…one of my favourites… but in a way you will never have seen it before.

So much colour, laughter, hugging and and music filled Alex and Amber’s day, way back on a lovely sunny day in August last year. Amber’s Mexican heritage brought so much inspiration to their day, which took place on one of the most quintessentially British venues I know, Maunsel House.

Every part of their day oozed personality, family, love and a whole lot of fun. From the amazing bursts of Mexican infused colour, the surprise Mariachi band that Alex and Amber’s dad had organised in secret and the beautiful song Amber’s brother sang for the couple as they signed the register.  From the traditional British garden games to aPiñata that had guests and kids amused for ages. And their wonderful families, who welcomed everyone into their day with huge hugs. It was just amazing.

Alex and Amber, your wedding was such a pleasure to be a part of . Thank you both so much for allowing me to capture the story of your special day.

And thanks to my friend Bettina for all your lovely help and smiles. x
