About

Hello! Thank you for stopping by to check out a bit more about me.

Where to start really? Well, I guess with being a but of a mixed bag. I have always loved to paint, sew and make things but photography is my passion. I know this because it is the one thing I do every single day without fail.  I started my photographic journey in 2000 after an evening class course in photography that resulted in the spare room at home being converted into a darkroom and an obsession that became a huge part of my life and has enabled me to do things, and go to places I never dreamed possible.

I was born into a bit of a travelling lifestyle and it is a huge part of who I am. I was born in beautiful South Africa to parents who were constantly on the go. Brought up on sunshine and running around barefoot, I grew up surrounded by nature and friends, swimming in lakes and camping and travelling around in various VW campers or caravans which was as much a part of our daily life as going to school.  I now live by the sea in Cornwall with my beautiful dog Hugo and regularly travel the country, and to other various parts of the world.  Two of my personal goals this year are to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and to work on a voluntary project abroad.

I began photographing weddings in 2010, jumping into working for myself full time and leaving behind a marketing job I loved and I have never looked back. I love what I do and consider myself very fortunate to be able to capture the story of such an incredible time in a couples life. You have probably seen from the images on my blog that my style is really unobtrusive and natural. I don’t over process my work and I love images that will last the test of time.
